In 2021, Porsche had a rather successful season in endurance racing, notably in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and key events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

In the WEC's premier class, the Hypercar category, Porsche entered its 911 RSR-19 in the GTE Pro, winning several races and securing podium finishes throughout the season. However, due to changing regulations, Porsche withdrew from this category to concentrate on the new era of Hypercars with its Porsche 9X8, due to make its debut in 2023. At the 2021 Le Mans 24 Hours, Porsche won the GTE Pro class with its #92 911 RSR.
